With over 30 years in financial services and more than 8 years as a Financial Planner, I've learned that understanding each client's unique story is key to offering meaningful financial advice. My career has been diverse, starting as a management consultant after graduating from Boston College. This role sparked my ongoing commitment to learning and adding value to my clients' businesses.
My journey into finance began in college, where I majored in finance and was initially drawn to the trading world. However, I soon realized my true passion lay in consulting and helping people solve complex financial challenges. This led me to a path where I could leverage my market analysis and consulting experience to provide a distinct perspective on financial planning that extends beyond conventional wisdom.
Much like hockey, where team strategy outweighs individual skill, I find that financial planning thrives on collaboration. My experiences as a goalie in men's league games and as an Assistant Varsity Coach at Oratory Prep have taught me the importance of preparation, adaptability, and having a clear game plan. These principles guide my approach to financial planning.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time on the ice or coaching youth sports. My family—my wife Shannon, whom I met at BC, our children Steven, Kacey, and Margaux, and our dog Buddy—brings me great joy and constantly reminds me of the importance of helping families build and protect their financial legacy. Balancing professional expertise with personal experience allows me to understand that every financial decision carries a family's story, a dream for the future, or a legacy in the making.
